How to Save Money on Starbucks Coffee with Zomato

If you are a coffee lover, you probably know how expensive Starbucks coffee can be. A typical cup of coffee can cost you around 300-400 rupees, depending on the size and the type of drink. But what if I told you that you can get the same coffee for half the price, without compromising on the quality or the taste? Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, not really. All you need is a smartphone and the Zomato app.

    The Zomato Hack

This hack was recently shared by a Twitter user, Sandeep Mall, who ordered a Starbucks coffee worth Rs 400 for just Rs 190 using Zomato. He revealed that he was sitting inside the Starbucks outlet when he placed the order on Zomato with the address of the same outlet. The Zomato delivery guy picked up the coffee from the counter and delivered it to his table. Mall posted a video of this ingenious trick on Twitter and it went viral with over 1.1 million views and 10,000 likes.

Sitting at Starbucks - coffee for 400. Zomato deal for same coffee 190. Ordered Zomato with address of Starbucks. The Zomato guy picks up and gives me to my table at Starbuck.

Mall also shared a screenshot of his Zomato bill, which showed that he ordered a Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew for Rs 200 and got a discount of Rs 10. He also had a Zomato Gold subscription, which gave him free delivery.

    The Twitter Reactions

Mall’s tweet received a lot of praise and admiration from Twitter users, who hailed him as a genius and a master of jugaad (a Hindi word for finding a clever solution to a problem). Some users also shared their own experiences of using delivery apps to save money while dining in at restaurants.

Sheer genius!!! Or what we call jugaad in India. A hack essentially.

Used to do the same for a few restaurants in Mumbai. In fact, there was a small egg-themed restaurant in Lower parel which we were very loyal to. He used to tell us Sir Swiggy ya Zomato see order karo, acchi deal Milegi.

    The Benefits of This Hack

This hack not only helps you save money on your coffee, but also has some other benefits:

    • You don’t have to wait in long queues or deal with cashiers who might get your order wrong.
    • You can enjoy your coffee in the comfort of your seat without having to move around or carry it yourself.
    • You can take advantage of the discounts and offers that Zomato provides on various outlets and cuisines.
    • You can earn Zomato credits and use them for future orders or redeem them for other rewards.

    The Drawbacks of This Hack

However, this hack also has some drawbacks that you should be aware of:

    • You might get some weird looks or comments from the staff or other customers who might think you are cheating or being cheap.
    • You might feel guilty or unethical for exploiting a loophole in the system that might affect the business or the delivery partners.
    • You might face some issues with the delivery time or location if the outlet is busy or far away from your address.
    • You might miss out on some exclusive items or offers that are only available at the outlet and not on Zomato.

    The Conclusion

This hack is a clever and creative way of saving money on Starbucks coffee, but it also has some risks and challenges. It depends on your personal preference and situation whether you want to try it or not. However, if you do decide to try it, make sure you tip the delivery guy well and enjoy your coffee responsibly. Cheers! ☕
