Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe Review

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe is a remastered version of the 2011 Wii game that features improved graphics, new copy abilities, and a bonus mini adventure starring Magolor. The game is a classic Kirby platformer that lets you play solo or with up to three friends as you explore Planet Popstar and help Magolor fix his spaceship.

The game starts off very easy and simple, but gradually ramps up the challenge and creativity in the later worlds. You can inhale enemies and copy their abilities, such as Water, Jump, Mecha, and Sand. Some enemies also give you Super Abilities, which are powerful attacks that can clear obstacles and enemies in your way. The game has a lot of variety and charm in its level design, enemies, and bosses.

The Deluxe version adds a new mode called Magolor Epilogue: The Interdimensional Traveler, where you play as Magolor and use his magic to travel through different dimensions and collect treasures. This mode is more difficult and puzzle-oriented than the main adventure, and it adds some replay value to the game.

The game also has a sub-game called Merry Magoland, which is an amusement park where you can play mini-games, collect stamps, and earn prizes. You can also go online and see global fun facts or compete against other players’ records in Samurai Kirby 100. Additionally, you can customize your characters with masks from the Souvenir Shop.

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe is a fun and colorful game that will appeal to fans of Kirby and platformers in general. It may not be very innovative or challenging for veterans of the genre, but it has enough content and charm to keep you entertained for hours. It is especially enjoyable with friends, as you can cooperate or compete with each other in the co-op mode. If you missed the original game on Wii or want to experience it again with some enhancements, this is a great opportunity to do so.

    Verdict: 8/10
