Architectural design refers to a wide range of architectural, engineering and technical applications for the design of buildings. All building projects require the services of an architect, usually a licensed architect. Small, less complex projects often do not require a licensed professional, and the design of such projects is often carried out by architects, painters, interior designers (interior fit or renovation) or contractors. Larger, more complex building projects require the services of specialists trained in specialized fields, usually coordinated by an architect.
